Launch 2

Today was our second day of launch. Our recent attachments to our rocket, is a our very own, self made Parachute. Our parachute is a white garbage bag with a whole in the middle. We attached to our rocket by attaching ropes to the plastic bag and rocket, and then duct taping it to the bottle. Our first launch with our newly made parachute was a fail, it didn't come out after we shot the rocket. Therefore, we made the string shorter and loosened the cap a little so that the parachute will exit faster.  Our second launch had a much better result with the parachute coming out after launch. We could conclude that making the string shorter and cap looser was a big factor in making the parachute release faster. Finally our last launch of the day was a 50-50 thing. It was good because our rocket flew high, because we figured out that our rocket is heavy and needs more water pressure, and bad because the parachute didn't deploy. The duct tape on our rocket was a lot, therefore making it heavy. Since the rocket is heavier than a usual rocket, we had to add more water pressure in order to launch the rocket higher. In our next launch, we will make sure to include these factors in it. We will work out the technical difficulties in future class periods.

We should have used less fins to make less weight on the rocket. Also, two fins instead of three would have been helpful because it makes the structure of the rocket more slimmer, therefore, making the rocket more aerodynamic.

Making the rocket more thin makes the rocket more aerodynamic. We should make it more aerodynamic to make the rocket shoot higher.
